Copy shots are images of artwork taken with our high-resolution camera in flat lighting conditions in order to create a digital reproduction of the piece.
We do not recommend scanning artwork with our flatbed scanning service. It will not capture the colors and details as accurately as the copy shot.
We do our best to color match to your artwork, but be advised that it may not always be an identical match, due to different medias (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc.) behaving slightly differently when being photographed. For the most accurate color match, we recommend at least a color test printed on inkjet paper.
Some 3D aspects of your artwork may cause un-avoidable shadows in the copy shot. We work hard to choose the best lighting conditions for every piece, but it may not be possible to avoid every shadow.

We don’t recommend scanning artwork due to the different media types (i.e. oil paint, watercolor, acrylic, etc.) reacting different to the light scanner. Although we never promise a perfect color match for artwork, we can get as close as possible with our copy shot services.
